The SAA Club Diver course is the third scuba certification level. A highly-trained SAAA / CMAS Instructor will teach you how to scuba dive in a relaxed, supportive learning environment.

By the end of the course, you'll have the skills and knowledge to dive at home or abroad to a maximum depth of 35 metres.

Building further on the skills learned during your SAA Open Water / 1 Star Diver course, you will develop even further:

1. THEORY
We supply you with the SAA Diver Toolkit, various forms (opposite) for completion, and, as part of your SAA Membership you will receive the Student Record Folder, these will either get shipped directly to you or be given to you in person by your instructor.
You read the manual at home, at your own pace and your instructor will go through the knowledge development with you. This is done with a number of PowerPoint presentations, usually at the club on a Thursday evening or by another evening if your instructor is agreeable.

2. OPEN WATER
Gaining valuable diving experience in a multitude of dive sites is the key to progressing toward the SAA Club Diver Grade. With your instructor, you will dive to a maximum depth of 35 metres and undertake dives at a variety of new dive sites, whilst inland dive sites such as Cromhall Quarry or Vobster Quay have their place for certain training dives, you will find the vast majority of Club Diver and 2 Star Diver additional dives will take place out at sea in locations such as Eddystone Lighthouse, Hand Deeps and on wrecks like the James Eagan Layne, the Maine, HMS Scylla, the Elk, and many others as you gain experience and become even more proficient as a diver.

Travel and dive site entry fees are not covered in any course costs, neither are your certification fees or instructor's expenses. Talk to your instructor to make sure you are ready to undertake this course.
