Code of Conduct
Membership of the InDepth Dive Club is dependent on adherence to the club's Code of Conduct.

Code of Conduct
1. The InDepth Dive Club is a members’ organisation, operated by the InDepth Dive Centre, and all members, by accepting membership, agree to abide by the rules, regulations and policies of the club, as laid down by the committee, its constitution and this code of conduct.

2. The InDepth Code of Conduct includes the following and members are bound by it. The list is not exhaustive, common sense and decency should guide your judgement, and you should act with integrity, decency and honour at all times towards your fellow club members. All members shall:
a
Act in a lawful manner, in accordance with the law of the land, whichever country they may be diving in / visiting as part of any club / dive centre trip.
b
Comply fully with duly authorised authorities outside InDepth, including PADI, the SAA or any other other dive agency as appropriate.
c
Act in accordance with PADI’s Safe Diving Practices, and all PADI/SAA rules, training programmes, policies or guidance, and any InDepth Branch byelaws.
d
Comply with PADI/SAA training standards when delivering and receiving training.
e
Fulfil their obligations towards others by compliance with any duty of care.
f
Comply with PADI’s Approved Youth Training Facility Safeguarding policy.
g
At no time bring InDepth, PADI, the SAA into disrepute.
h
At no time act in a manner that is discriminatory towards fellow club members.

Respect other scuba diving and snorkelling agencies and members thereof and avoid derogatory action or behaviour towards these.

Be respectful of other club members, not engage in idle gossip that may cause harm
or upset to any club member.

Attempt to resolve disputes or complaints by dealing with these promptly, clarifying uncertainties and with use of good communication (See item J above)

Resolve disciplinary matters at a local level, wherever possible. Exceptions include safeguarding issues and criminal matters which have wider implications for PADI / the SAA or any other training agency in use by the club.

Fully co-operate with disciplinary and any other investigations.

Take care not to involve themselves or any training agency in unauthorised activities.
o
Declare any potential conflict of interest to the committee.
3. Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary or other action being taken.
