We had originally planned a trip out to the Federated States of Micronesia and Truk Lagoon to dive the WWII Japanese Fleet wrecks before the Covid pandemic turned the world upside down and resulted in Truk being closed to foriegners.
The islands are now open to visitors once again and we are looking at putting this trip back on.
This was originally planned as a MARU Divers trip and there's no reason for that to change.
We would meet our Autralian friends in Micronesia and base ourselves onland as there's literally no point to the liveaboards. Being shore based will give us greater flexibility and we are hoping to arrange things with Pete Mesley of Lust for Rust as he has great experience of guiding these wrecks and also has his own medical facilities and recompression chamber etc, which, given the remoteness of the location seems like a wise precaution.
Can you please enage with this forum post if this trip is of interest to you.
Equally, if you have any experience that you'd like to share or specific questions then please do comment.
I'm interested.
Nick.
